The concept of home, with its various aspects, complexities, and inherent ambivalence, stands at the core of both the content and material of my work. In paintings and sculpture over the years, through imagery, I seek to ask questions about concealment and covering, revelation and peeling back—pondering the continuum of relationships between beauty and ornamentation, and even camouflage.

In a work from the series “Interiors”, when the cannons roar, the theme of home resurfaces once again in different dimensions. Through the language of art, I explore the moment when the safe, the beautiful, and the familiar become destabilized.
