My name is Elina Marinovsky, I am a fashion designer and artist. Owner of a fashion studio in Tel Aviv. I was born in Donetsk, received a second degree in fashion history at the University of Fashion and Design in St. Petersburg. I have Russian-Ukrainian-Polish roots. I participate in Israeli and international exhibitions, in group and personal ones. I work in different techniques, textiles, multimedia, concrete, and acrylic.
I have revealed the theme “my home is my castle” in two works – pillowcases.
Work 1:
A pillow is a symbol of home.
And home for me is a place of power, it is my parents’ home, filled with love and comfort, where I was always expected… my parents, home and even the city are long gone…but I still have authentic things that I used in my work: a bag of lavender (my mother made such gifts), letters written by her hand, pieces of lace… this is real…
Work 2
is dedicated to my grandchildren – Alma – a cat and Oz – a bunny.
When they stay overnight with me I tell them fairy tales and these are the happiest moments in my house.
Both works are made in the same style: sewing, textiles, collage, embroidery, knitting, canvas, acrylic
