Daniela Aira paints intimate portraits and scenes from the lives of her ancestors and family, weaving together stories that span generations. Her works transport viewers to both recent and distant pasts, some reaching as far back as the late 1800s. Drawing inspiration from aged photographs, she revitalizes forgotten moments, infusing them with emotion, light, and color. Through her brushstrokes, Daniela captures not just the faces and settings of her subjects, but the essence of their lives — their hopes, struggles, and dreams — preserving them in a timeless visual language. Her art is a bridge between memory and imagination, a tribute to heritage, and a meditation on identity and belonging.
She currently resides in Maccabim-Re’ut, Israel, and hails from Ceres, Santa Fe, Argentina. Her multicultural background and active involvement in both local and international art scenes contribute to her unique perspective as an artist.
