Orit Ben-Tov (b. 1966, Israel; lives and works in Tel Aviv) is a multidisciplinary artist. Holds a B.A. from the Departments of Sociology and Anthropology, Tel Aviv University (1989), and an M.S. in Communication Design from Pratt Institute, New York (1994); a graduate of etching studies with artist Dan Kryger at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art workshops (2006–11).
The “new leaf” artworks explore affinities between photography and drawing. The encounter between them creates a stratified image underlined by reflections. Intuitively created photographs and drawings are interwoven with the exploration process of our inner observation aspects.
A leaf moves through space and time, just like ourselves, serves as a momentary viewpoint to our innermost sanctuary.
